dpAuth - Blockchain-based Authentication Ecosystem

dpAuth is an innovative authentication ecosystem that integrates SSI (Self-sovereign Identity) issuance, certificate verification, and authentication products into one systematic solution. As the COO and co-founder, I led the company to secure HKD 200,000 in funding from HKSTP and HKTech300.

The Challenge

Traditional background checks for job seekers are time-consuming (up to three weeks) and costly for enterprises. The existing digital signing systems also suffer from a Single Point of Failure (SPOF) vulnerability, where the entire system collapses if the central service provider goes down.

Our Solution

dpAuth leverages blockchain smart-contract technology to create a decentralized solution that:

• Enables bulk issuance of authentic SSI and certificates
• Provides rapid certification verification processes
• Stores all data and processes on blockchain for security and transparency
• Eliminates SPOF through decentralized distributed ledgers
• Reduces background check time and costs
• Guarantees accuracy of applicants’ background information

My Role & Achievements

As the Chief Operating Officer, I was responsible for:

• Operations Management: Oversaw day-to-day operations and strategic planning
• Stakeholder Engagement: Built and maintained relationships with investors, partners, and clients
• Legal & Compliance: Managed tax-filing procedures and established legal frameworks
• Business Expansion: Developed strategies to scale the solution across different industries
